    What is a line?<\/h3><\/p>\n

    A line is the mark left by a moving point on a surface. It is probably the most basic of all the elements of art. <\/p>

    From a philosophical standpoint, nature does not create lines<\/strong>. It is a human invention. <\/p>

    Think about this: Have you ever seen a perfect line in nature? No. You see edges, boundaries, and changes in color or texture. The line is our way of interpreting the world so we can represent it on flat surfaces like paper. <\/p><\/div>
